About the role

As our Experienced Truck Technician / Mechanic, you’ll maintain and repair medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high standards. You’ll diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, repair or rebuild major components (e.g., cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, electrical systems, and air systems), and work alongside highly trained technicians in a fully equipped shop.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in medium and heavy-duty trucks.
  • Repair or rebuild major components such as engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs to ensure trucks operate at peak performance.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision in a swing-shift schedule (Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–midnight).

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty Class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
  • Diesel tech degree with mechanical aptitude/background may substitute for experience.
  • Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge; Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under little or no supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
  • Must provide own tools.

Pay

$34.80–$39.15/hour (depending on experience).
