Experienced Spray Foam Technician / Crew Lead

About the role

USA Insulation of Pittsburgh, located in Glenshaw, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Spray Foam Technician to work in attics, crawl spaces and tight areas, applying spray polyurethane foam. The role involves setting up, operating and troubleshooting equipment, ensuring proper material ratios, delivering a clean and consistent application, protecting work areas, maintaining tools, minimizing waste, working safely, leading or assisting helpers, communicating with homeowners and contractors, and taking ownership of jobs from setup to cleanup.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and troubleshoot spray foam equipment
• Understand proper temperatures, pressures and material ratios
• Spray a clean, consistent application
• Recognize substrate and jobsite conditions that affect the finished product
• Properly mask and protect the work area
• Maintain the gun, proportioner, hoses and related equipment
• Minimize waste and maximize material yield
• Work safely in attics, crawl spaces and other confined areas
• Lead or work effectively with a helper/crew
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors and the office
• Take ownership of a job from setup through cleanup

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and dependable attendance
• Mechanically inclined with strong construction background (or willingness to learn)
• Reliability, mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic
• Preferred: actual spray polyurethane foam experience, ability to set up, operate and troubleshoot equipment, understand material ratios, spray clean application, etc.

Pay

$27 - $33 per hour + performance bonus
