Position Details
The Emergency Trauma Center is a dynamic department where no day is the same! It is a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke center, recognized for outstanding trauma services in both Missouri and Arkansas. We are the area's only Regional Burn Center, serving our multistate areas including Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. The department includes 70 exam/treatment areas, including 6 designated trauma suites, 11 beds dedicated to the Pediatric Emergency Department, with specialty-trained Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians, and specialty behavioral health resources and treatment areas. The SANE Program, positive and cohesive relationships with board-certified emergency medicine physicians, and an Emergency Trauma Center Nursing Fellowship— a full-time, hands-on program designed to increase skill set and comfort level in a fast-paced environment—are some of the highlights.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of a State-approved School of Nursing.
- Licensure: Possess a current RN license with the Missouri State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri temporary work permit.
- Experience: Must have hospital-based experience. Preferred one year Emergency Department experience.
- Certifications: ETC and Acute Care Center RNs must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period. ETC RNs must have a current ACLS card or complete a course within six months of their hire date. ETC RNs must have current PALS or ENPC, and TNCC cards or complete courses within one year of hire date.
