About the role
Lakewood Family Health Center’s Emergency Department is open 24/7 for infants through adults with 20 treatment rooms and convenient access to an outpatient laboratory, radiology services and outpatient family health center services. The Emergency Department is a wonderful place for someone who wants to work with diverse populations of patients and develop a wide skillset treating a variety of medical problems.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
- Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross within one year of hire.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC – pediatric) upon hire or within 24 months of beginning work in the Emergency Department.
- Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay
- Minimum hourly: $35.50
- Maximum hourly: $55.60
Schedule
Full Time, Nights Shift: 7:00pm – 7:30am with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.
