Experienced Registered Nurse (PACU)

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• Provides care to patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Performs initial physiological and psychosocial needs assessment on all patients within 30 minutes of admission and shift assessment within 2 hours if coming on duty.
• Collaborates in the formulation of the overall plan of care for the patient, as evidenced by written documentation.
• Identifies needs and problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual assessments.

Requirements

• Current California RN License.
• Current Basic Life Support Level C (Healthcare Provider) certification.
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Two years of PACU or critical care experience and/or approved PACU RN training course.
