About the role
Boeing Global Services (BGS), Distribution Business, is looking for an Experienced Quality Inspector to join our team in Enfield, CT.
Responsibilities
- Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements
- Provides objective evidence of results
- Segregates and controls non-conforming items
- Performs preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
- Under limited supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders, verifies that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders, and uses micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc. daily
- Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team
- Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels
- Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects
- Reviews and dispositions all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards; communicates with vendor as needed
- Dispositions and controls non-conforming products
Requirements
- 3+ years’ related work experience using calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator
- 3+ years’ experience in QA inspection methods and procedures reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints
- Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
- This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam
- Must meet export control compliance requirements as a “U.S. Person” (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
- Subject to drug testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol as outlined in Boeing policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous aerospace inspection experience
- Knowledge of AS9100 requirements
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
Pay
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $49,000.00 - $69,000.00.
