Experienced Painter / Future Crew Leader

About the role

We are building a professional team of reliable, detail-oriented painters who take pride in their work, care about quality, and want the opportunity to grow. This position is ideal for someone who already has painting experience and has the ambition to become a lead painter, crew leader, foreman, project manager, or future manager. The right person will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to earn trust with both customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare job sites by covering floors, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces
• Prepare walls and surfaces by scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and priming
• Fill cracks, holes, and imperfections with the proper materials
• Mix paint and materials to achieve the correct color, texture, and finish
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other tools
• Apply stains, varnishes, and other finishes when needed
• Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized
• Protect customers’ homes, businesses, and property
• Follow all health and safety precautions
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors
• Help maintain Fresh Coat Painters’ reputation for quality, reliability, and professionalism
• Assist with training or leading other team members as you grow

Requirements

• Previous painting experience required
• Interior and/or exterior painting experience preferred
• Lead painter, crew leader, or foreman experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable transportation preferred
• Able to use painting tools such as brushes, rollers, caulking guns, sanding equipment, sprayers, and ladders
• Able to perform basic math and follow job instructions
• Able to work safely on ladders, scaffolding, and active job sites
• Able to perform physical work during an 8-hour shift
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Pay

• Experienced painters: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour
• Higher pay may be available for candidates with proven lead painter, crew leader, or foreman experience
