About the role

Freedom Home Care is hiring dependable Overnight Awake Caregivers to support clients during overnight hours. This is an awake position, meaning you will remain alert and available throughout the entire shift to provide safety, comfort, companionship, and assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one overnight care and companionship to a single client
• Ensure client safety and respond promptly to needs during the shift
• Assist with personal care tasks as required (e.g., repositioning, toileting support)
• Maintain a calm and supportive environment throughout the night

Requirements

• Previous professional caregiving experience is required
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable vehicle and current auto insurance
• Ability to pass a Minnesota DHS Background Study
• Ability to work morning and/or evening shifts
• Availability for an every-other-weekend rotation
• Dependable and professional communication
• Personal experience caring for a family member alone does not qualify as professional caregiving experience for this position
