Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, and issue materials and chemicals in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Safely handle and transport chemicals using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools (e.g., spill trays, drum dollies) if required.
  • If leaks, or unsafe conditions are noticed; escalate concerns immediately to the EHS department.
  • Prevents mixes of components and facilitates the delivery and handling of the raw material, office supplies and materials to be used in the work stations.
  • Receives lots of products from Manufacturing according to the work plan. Segregates and distributes the lots according to FIFO and/or established priorities.
  • Dispatches the raw material, office supplies and materials to each area.
  • Maintains inventory levels of the raw material and of the "processing supplies" required in manufacturing according to the Kanban system established by area.
  • Transports materials from one department to another manually or by using haul equipment.
  • Configures the batches of products that are sent to be sterilized, when required.
  • Performs material count, as required by the "Cycle Count" program.
  • Generates reports in SAP or others to identify discrepancies.
  • Participates and executes corrective actions as required.
  • Is responsible for ensuring that the established "Cycle Count" metrics are met.
  • Prepares requisition of materials using established forms as STD. (Stock Transfer Document), etc.
  • Captures and submits material inventory adjustments through "Material Inventory Transaction" (MIT's).
  • Coordinates the acquisition of materials and equipment with the Buyer.
  • Fulfills follow-up on purchase orders and report any situation to the Area Supervisor.
  • Collects and sends reusable materials to the corresponding suppliers for those products that apply, such as the Cartridge and Viper trays.
  • Ensures compliance with material efficiency, safety, quality and assistance based on the financial goals of the organization.
  • Responsible for training on the operations established in the training plan.
  • Participates in team meetings, contributes to problem solving and data analysis.
  • Motivates and provides effective leadership skills to maintain the highest quality level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Safely and effectively utilizes necessary equipment and tools (scanning equipment, shrink wrap and ladders, etc.) while maintaining proper housekeeping standards for clean and conducive environment.
  • Maintains a safe environment anticipating and solving emerging situations.
  • Performs special projects directed by Supervisor/Manager.
  • Facilitates communication to associates and creates a Credo-based environment.
  • Ensures correct policies and guidelines are followed to maintain compliance with all regulatory and corporate policies (Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in a manufacturing-related environment.
  • Warehouse, shipping, and/or inventory control experience preferred.
  • Medical Device industry experience is preferred.
  • FDA/GMP Regulatory or Quality Assurance experience preferred.
