Operator - Material Handling

Responsibilities

• Operate/maintain Petroleum Coke Handling System
• Includes daily operation of the conveyor/crusher system, daily inspection, clean-up after use, and maintenance
• Maintain a PLC-controlled conveyor system
• Operate/maintain heavy equipment such as frontend loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, water trucks, large excavators, and other mobile equipment
• Complete and maintain required daily paperwork
• Assist Maintenance personnel, as needed
• Occasionally work in areas outside of normal duties, when instructed by Supervision
• Take an active role in safety program including safety meetings and ensuring safe behaviors

Requirements

• 1 year of refinery, plant, or industrial experience
• Class B CDL preferred

Schedule

• Rotating (days/nights) 12-hour shift to include weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary
• Able to work outdoors in all-weather conditions in addition to walking, and standing on uneven ballast surfaces for long periods of time
• Handle large tools, climb on and off the equipment, ascend and descend ladders, and should not have a fear of height
