Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical duties on equipment as instructed
- Disassemble, repair/recondition with precision, assemble and test equipment
- Perform fabrication of lightweight apparatus and/or structures used in the maintenance of equipment
- Interface with project management, engineers, technical personnel and other staff as needed to complete projects
- Provide any additional support where needed
Job Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of 5 years of experience with refurbishment / reconditioning on parts in a job shop or similar environment
- Knowledge of and prior experience in disassembly and assembly of mechanical parts is required
- Knowledge of and prior experience in the use of hand and power tools is required
- Ability to read prints and drawings is required
- Knowledge of and prior experience in overhead crane and lift trucks, including hoisting and rigging techniques is required
- Knowledge of machining and fabrication methods preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic & piping systems preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems (wiring motors and small panels) preferred
- Able to follow step-by-step procedures with accuracy is required
- Candidate must have good interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Demands
- Remain in a standing or walking position for extended periods of time
- Stoop, kneel, crouch and bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
