Experienced Master Craftsman / Handyman - 35 to 45 per Hour

About the Role

Ace Handyman Services Montclair is seeking a highly experienced, well-rounded craftsman who takes pride in their work, communicates effectively with customers, and wants to join a company that values skilled tradespeople. This is a full-time position offering a flexible schedule and consistent work without the need to chase leads.

Pay

$35–$45+ per hour, based on experience and performance, including incentive opportunities. Quarterly performance bonuses are also available.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of home repair and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
• Carpentry and finish carpentry
• Drywall installation and repair
• Doors and trim
• Cabinetry and shelving
• Painting and finishing
• Tile and general home repairs
• Punch-list and maintenance work
• Troubleshooting and problem solving
• Communicate confidently with customers to understand problems and deliver high-quality work
• Maintain professionalism, respect, honesty, and excellent workmanship
• Interact directly with homeowners and property managers to suggest additional work that improves safety and preserves their property

Requirements

• Strong, hands-on experience across multiple trades (e.g., carpentry, drywall, painting, tile, general repairs)
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively
• Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills
• Dependability and a customer-focused mindset
• Pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail
