Experienced Line Cook

Responsibilities

• Setting up and stocking station according to guidelines
• Preparing all food items in a sanitary and timely manner
• Following recipes, portion control and presentation as set by Governors Club
• Restocking of all items as needed during the shift
• Cleaning and maintaining the station practicing good safety, sanitation and organizing skills
• Properly using all equipment in station
• Aiding with the cleaning and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas
• Performing additional responsibilities as requested by the Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Executive Chef as needed

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Skilled professional cooking, knife handling, kitchen safety and sanitation practices and food handling
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Private club experience preferred
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for duration of shift
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Executive Chef

Hours Available

• Full Time
• Typical work week: Tuesday - Saturday
• Hours: 2pm-10pm Tuesday - Saturday
• 9am - 5pm Rotating Sundays

Rate of Pay

Start at $18.00-24.00 an hour, negotiable based on qualifications or experience
