Experienced Installation Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Installation Technician to support the construction of fire alarm, security, access control, voice/data, and other low-voltage systems that DynaFire provides. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and reliable.

• Read blueprints of low-voltage systems and understand their relation to building layouts.
• Install components such as smoke detectors, pull stations, video cameras, and door contacts.
• Prepare installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and procedures under the supervision of a project manager or foreman.
• Meet installation deadlines as directed by the project manager or foreman.
• Direct other installers if requested by the project manager or foreman.
• Communicate effectively with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).

Responsibilities

• Memorize and apply the DynaFire 8 Core Values and Mission Statement.
• Understand the importance of the role in delivering successful DynaFire systems to customers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of installation experience in the fire alarm industry.
• NICET Level I certification (must maintain).
• Attain NICET Level II certification within 12 months.
• Participate in required DynaFire-sponsored training.
• May be requested to serve as a trainer in DynaFire-sponsored training.
• Consider attending manufacturing training to become certified in DynaFire low-voltage systems.
