Responsibilities
- Build strong customer relationships by understanding and addressing their needs and expectations.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential and light commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating/cooling systems.
- Repair all electrical and mechanical components of HVAC equipment.
- Provide start-ups and troubleshooting for residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
- Explain replacement opportunities for aging, inefficient, or underperforming systems.
- Understand service criteria and exceed revenue goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness with invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and option sheets.
- Actively participate in training, continued education, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats.
Requirements
- 2+ years of HVAC service experience (residential and light commercial).
- EPA Type II or Universal Certification (NATE preferred).
- Your own tools, gauges, and multimeter.
- A clean driving record and valid license.
- A professional appearance and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Ability to navigate various job site environments, including climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces (attics/crawlspaces), and maneuvering around HVAC equipment.
- Frequently lift, carry, and manipulate tools/equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Remain physically active for the duration of a shift.
- Work comfortably in variable weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and inclement weather, while navigating unconditioned spaces like attics and crawlspaces.
Pay
$30–40/hour based on experience, with additional compensation opportunities.
