Experienced Generator Technician

About the role
Pearce is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Experienced Generator Technician to service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers. This position is perfect for independent, self-starters who are open to travel.
Responsibilities
- Maintain generators, diagnose and repair problems, and install or replace components or entire systems.
- Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance to ensure readiness; follow design specifications to install or repair equipment.
- Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, and controls, and test for proper operation.
- Respond promptly to power/generator alarms and be on call 24/7 if necessary.
- Perform work with awareness of potential hazards and use safety equipment; participate in safety and training meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance; three or more years preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair; familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
- Basic knowledge of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
- Ability to comply with OSHA standards and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting over 50 pounds and standing for long periods.
- Capability to drive long distances and work flexible hours, including on-call duties.
- Able to pass a DOT physical examination.
Pay
Actual compensation is influenced by skill set, level of experience, and location. Base pay range: $30 USD - $40 USD per hour. In addition to wages, employees may be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem, or other applicable compensation.
