About the role

Joining CS Group USA is an opportunity to work on complex high-tech systems for the most prestigious aerospace manufacturers in the country. Our team operates primarily remotely, with employees based across multiple U.S. states, offering flexibility while staying closely connected.

Responsibilities

  • Drive issue resolution by providing technical expertise and ensuring timely follow-through.
  • Mentor less experienced team members, providing guidance on best practices, communication, and project discipline.
  • Auxiliary in developing and maintaining the project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with the Software Engineers to assist in FPGA development activities, build project plans, estimate workload, allocate tasks, and track progress.
  • Design, implement, and verify FPGA/CPLD hardware.
  • Perform requirements analysis and detailed design; Develop HDL code (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog), simulation environments, and verification tests.
  • Use FPGA tools for synthesis, simulation, and integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field.
  • 7+ years of experience in VHDL FPGA logic design and development;
  • Experience with FPGA tools and embedded systems;
  • Familiar with digital design tools such as Vivado, ModelSim, etc.
  • Experience with MicroSemi FPGA architecture;
  • Experience with serial communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, or PCIe;
  • Hands-on hardware test equipment experience such as oscilloscopes, spectrum/logic analyzers, power meters, etc;
  • U.S. citizenship required;
  • dual citizenship must be disclosed.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust with internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Ability to work onsite in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.

Skills

  • Technical expertise in VHDL FPGA logic design and development.
  • Experience with FPGA tools and embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with digital design tools like Vivado and ModelSim.
  • Experience with MicroSemi FPGA architecture.
  • Knowledge of serial communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, or PCIe.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware test equipment.
