Experienced Diesel Technician/Mechanic

Job Summary

Eide Ford Lincoln is looking for an experienced Diesel Technician to join their team in Bismarck, North Dakota. This is a full-time role in a busy service department where you will handle a wide range of diesel repairs and maintenance tasks, working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair diesel vehicles including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and related components - Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections - Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues - Document all repairs and maintenance accurately - Maintain a clean and organized work area - Work closely with service advisors and the parts department to complete repairs on schedule - Stay informed on new technology and industry updates - Follow all safety guidelines and procedures - Assist and mentor apprentices and less experienced technicians when needed

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent - Two or more years of diesel technician experience - Valid drivers license with a clean driving record - Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and related systems - Ability to use diagnostic equipment and read technical manuals - Solid time management and multitasking ability - Must have your own tools - Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset - Able to lift up to fifty pounds and stand for long periods of time
