Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years of professional automotive technician experience required
  • Comprehensive vehicle knowledge
  • Strong background in transmission diagnostics and repairs
  • Strong expertise in drivability diagnostics
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record is required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional work ethic and high integrity
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, push, and pull
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and assist in lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Minimum age of 18 years

Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic Job Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership standards
  • Perform general repair or replacement of parts and vehicle components based on required specifications outlined in service orders
  • Document all services provided and communicate any additional recommended repairs to managers and service advisors
  • Observe all safety regulations and ensure the service department is clean and safe for daily operations
  • Assist master technicians and/or management with any other duties as necessary
