About the role
A dealer is responsible for managing the blackjack tables and other Table Games, dealing cards, explaining game rules, and ensuring a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for players.
Responsibilities
- Deal Cards: Manage the table by dealing cards to players and controlling the pace of the game.
- Explain Rules: Clearly explain the rules to new players, ensuring they understand how to play.
- Maintain Professionalism: Uphold a friendly and professional demeanor with players at all times to enhance their gaming experience.
- Cash and Chip Management: Handle cash and chips accurately and securely, ensuring the integrity of the game.
- Ensure Security: Safeguard the cards and gaming equipment, ensuring that all games are conducted fairly and according to casino regulations.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Iowa Gaming License.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and be able to grasp, reach and bend in a loud, bright, and smoky environment.
- Must be able to perform basic math functions and calculate payouts mentally.
Skills
- Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with players and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills for handling bets and payouts accurately.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor gameplay and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for long periods and manage the physical demands of dealing cards.
