Experienced Craftsman/Handyman

About the role

Ace Handyman Services Orange is seeking highly motivated professional Carpenters with skills in multiple trades. This W2 position offers the flexibility of independent work while handling business aspects like scheduling and estimates for you. You'll work out of your home on a full-time or part-time basis, traveling to job sites in Orange, New Haven, Stratford, Fairfield, Stamford, and Greenwich using your own truck or van.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair, maintenance, and remodeling projects—both large and small—inside and outside homes and businesses
• Deliver quality craftsmanship and customer service for a wide variety of projects
• Interact positively with clients, fellow employees, management, and office personnel
• Provide minor electrical and plumbing services
• Assist the office with special estimate jobs as needed
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and solve problems on-site
• Maintain accurate documentation and invoicing

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and professional appearance/demeanor
• Broad knowledge of multiple trades: carpentry, tiling, painting, drywall, light plumbing, and electrical
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Own a standard set of tools to perform all trades
• Own a truck or van for job site travel
• Current and valid driver’s license
• Residence within 15 miles of Orange, New Haven, or Fairfield
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Qualifications

• Successful prior track record as a Carpenter/Craftsman
• Estimation skills and prior home inspection experience (strongly preferred)
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong documentation and invoicing skills

Pay

$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year, with potential for higher hourly pay based on performance.
