Responsibilities
- Drop off and pickup equipment for customers
- Operate semi-truck and trailer consistent with DOT classification CDL-A
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, and pallet jacks
- Adequately adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Maintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspections
- Build relationships with customers by providing excellent service and identifying opportunities to support their equipment needs
- Periodically work on material handling equipment in our shop
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 50 lbs
- Basic knowledge of material handling equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of safe driving procedures and diligent attention to safety
