Class A CDL Driver

About the role

Dual role position requiring operation of company transportation equipment and performing warehouse/tank farm operation activities in compliance with all applicable federal, state, local statutes, regulations, and company policies. Interaction with customers and business partners will be conducted in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Make deliveries of hazardous and nonhazardous materials to customers.
• Pick-up hazardous and nonhazardous waste(s) from customers.
• Perform other driver duties including vendor pickups, delivery of wastes to TSDFs, and shuttle of equipment for maintenance and repairs.
• Perform manual Material Handler duties in the warehouse, such as:
  • Receiving packaged materials.
  • Pulling, preparing, and loading packaged products for deliveries.
  • Managing inventory by following FIFO inventory practices and performing cycle counts.
• Perform Material Handler duties in the tank farm, such as:
  • Loading/unloading bulk tankers and railcars.
• Perform facility maintenance and upkeep duties.
• Complete required logs and inspection reports per DOT Rules.
• Attend and complete company training classes.
• Serve on the company’s in-plant or off-site emergency response team.

Requirements

• Physical ability to lift and carry at least 100 pounds, tilt back or break 800 lb. net drums onto a dolly, and stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Test negative on the company’s drug tests.
• Satisfy all DOT physical qualifications requirements to qualify and maintain a CDL-A.
• May be handling potentially hazardous substances.
• Required to wear PPE.
