Experienced CAREGiver - Memory Care | Arlington/Marysville Area

Home Instead is looking for an experienced CAREGiver with memory care experience to join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults. Our clients and their families place their trust in you to provide compassionate, dependable support with their everyday needs.

About the role

The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, observant, and comfortable working with clients experiencing memory loss or cognitive changes.

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship and meaningful engagement
• Supporting clients with memory loss and dementia
• Medication reminders
• Personal hygiene care, including toileting and bathing
• Meal preparation and assistance
• Light housekeeping
• Transportation to appointments and errands
• Mobility and safety assistance
• Following the client's care plan and established routines
• Communicating important changes or concerns to the office and family
• Completing required documentation in the client's journal at the end of each shift

Requirements

• Previous professional caregiving experience required
• Memory care/dementia experience strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive required
• Valid auto insurance required
• Ability to provide mobility assistance, including assisting clients with transfers and ambulation
• Ability to safely lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to reliably travel to clients in the Arlington/Marysville area
• Must pass a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screen

Pay

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour depending on experience and availability

Ability to commute to the Arlington/Marysville, WA area is required. Reliable transportation is necessary.
