Responsibilities include: Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toiletingProviding companionship and meaningful engagementDementia care, including redirection, reassurance, and creating a calm environmentMeal planning and preparationMedication remindersLight housekeeping and laundryMobility assistance, transfers, and fall preventionTransportation to appointments and errands when neededMonitoring changes in condition and communicating with the care team What We're Looking For At least 2 years of professional dementia caregiving experienceExperience managing confusion, memory loss, sundowning, and behavioral changesCompassionate, patient, and dependableExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently while providing exceptional carePassion for improving the lives of older adults Qualifications Previous professional caregiving experience requiredDementia care experience requiredValid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insuranceAbility to pass a background checkNegative TB test (or willingness to obtain one)Home Care Aide (HCA) registration preferred or willingness to obtain after hire Why Caregivers Choose Exhava Home Care We know that when caregivers feel supported, our clients receive the best care possible.
