Experienced Bookkeeper

Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and complete general ledger recordsRecord and categorize day-to-day financial transactionsManage accounts payable and accounts receivablePerform bank and credit card reconciliationsPrepare and post journal entriesAssist with monthly and year-end closing processesMaintain supporting documentation for financial transactionsReview accounts for discrepancies and resolve reconciliation issuesAssist with payroll-related accounting and reporting, as neededPrepare routine financial reports, including balance sheets and income statementsCommunicate with clients and internal team members to obtain information and resolve bookkeeping mattersHelp improve and maintain efficient accounting processes and proceduresSupport accountants, controllers, and other finance professionals as needed Qualifications Required 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experienceStrong understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits and credits, account reconciliations, and general ledger accountingExperience with QuickBooks Online and/or Sage IntacctDemonstrated experience performing monthly account reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial recordsStrong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or errorsAbility to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft ExcelStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team Preferred Experience working with multiple companies or clients simultaneouslyExperience in a public accounting, outsourced accounting, or professional services environmentExperience assisting with month-end closeExperience with both QuickBooks Online and Sage IntacctQuickBooks Online certification or other relevant accounting/bookkeeping credentialsAssociate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field Who We Are Sure, we like numbers.
