Land Rover experience is preferred and JLR-certified technicians will find their credentials reflected in the rate -- but experienced technicians from other luxury or European platforms are encouraged to apply. Your diagnostic fundamentals transfer and we'll invest in your JLR certification from there. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles across a full range of systems -- engine, transmission, brakes, advanced electrical, suspension, ADAS, Terrain Response, air suspension, and beyond -- using JLR SDD and OEM diagnostic procedures Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans -- communicating findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization Execute repairs to JLR factory specifications with speed, accuracy, and zero shortcuts Complete repair orders accurately -- documenting all work performed and parts used with precision Stay current on JLR technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return What We're Looking For 2+ years of flat-rate technician experience in a franchised dealership -- required Land Rover or Jaguar experience preferred -- BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volvo, or other luxury European platform backgrounds welcome JLR SDD diagnostic platform experience preferred -- or equivalent European luxury diagnostic tool proficiency Strong diagnostic foundation -- able to work through multi-system problems accurately and efficiently ASE certifications a strong plus -- JLR factory certifications highly valued and reflected in rate Low comeback rate and a quality standard that doesn't require managing Valid driver's license with a clean driving record What We Offer $30 - $55/hr flat rate -- rate reflects your experience, certification level, and diagnostic depth Progressive pay plan -- JLR factory certifications and tenure increase your rate over time Paid JLR manufacturer training and certification support Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and supplemental coverage options Paid time off and paid holidays Clear career path -- strong technicians grow into senior tech, shop foreman, and service management roles at Swickard Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts WHY LAND ROVER REDWOOD CITY A loyal, passionate Peninsula guest base -- Land Rover owners here care deeply about their vehicles and return to the technicians who take care of them, making quality work the best retention tool in the shop JLR certifications are recognized and reflected in your rate -- bring your credentials and they move your number Redwood City sits at the heart of the Peninsula -- a strong, growing market with consistent Land Rover service volume Swickard is one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country -- ranked Top 5 in North America for reputation in the automotive industry Our HEART values -- Honor, Engage, Anticipate, Respond, Thank -- shape how we treat our team just as much as our guests If you're an experienced flat-rate technician with Land Rover, Jaguar, or luxury European platform expertise and the diagnostic depth to match -- we'd like to meet you.
