Experienced Automotive Service Technician

Responsibilities

  • Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
  • Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
  • Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed including providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
  • Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Adheres to dealership policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, warranty standards, and Service Department protocols
  • Maintains a great attitude
  • Keep your area and the customer's cars clean

Requirements

  • A high school diploma
  • At least 3 years of experience as an automotive service technician preferred
  • ASE certification preferred
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance
  • Proficiency in operating diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Willingness to further their knowledge through dealer and manufacturer training programs (no cost to employee)
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
  • Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and clean driving record
