Responsibilities

  • Manage the parts sales process from start to finish
  • Keep customers informed on parts status
  • Interact with staff and customers professionally and courteously
  • Utilize parts catalog effectively to locate and identify parts
  • Provide price quotes and information via phone
  • Verify parts orders against body shop estimates
  • Ensure excellent service for both internal and external customers
  • Fulfill orders accurately from stock
  • Conduct weekly bin checks to maintain stock accuracy
  • Notify parts manager of out-of-stock items or urgent needs
  • Source out-of-stock parts promptly if necessary
  • Ensure all parts requests are correctly billed on service orders
  • Process payments from retail customers or obtain credit approvals
  • Cook up daily shipments, deliveries, or pickups

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in auto parts sales preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations related to sales transactions
