Who We Are Looking For
The ideal cook candidate is a skilled, disciplined professional with a strong culinary foundation and a commitment to excellence. They must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of executing precise techniques under pressure while maintaining composure and cleanliness. A deep understanding of ingredients, presentation, and timing is essential, along with a collaborative mindset and respect for the hierarchy of the kitchen. The candidate should demonstrate passion for hospitality and take pride in contributing to an elevated guest experience through consistently exceptional cuisine.
What Is Expected Of You
- Help ensure every guest receives the right meal at the right time by coordinating the flow of food between the kitchen and dining room.
- Inspect orders for accuracy and presentation, run food to tables as needed, and assist Food Runners with timely service.
- Set up, stock, maintain, and close the Expeditor line.
- Complete required Health Department time and temperature logs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work area.
Experience You Will Need
- A high school/GED diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience as a food expeditor or similar position
- In-depth knowledge of all relevant health and safety guidelines and regulations
- Hands-on experience with a variety of kitchen equipment tools
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- A client-oriented mindset
- Bi-lingual preferred
- Food Handler certification preferred
- BASSET certification preferred
Physical Requirements
- Capability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 25 - 30 pounds
- Endurance to walk and stand throughout assigned shifts
- Comfortable with exposure to: Smoke, Bright lights, Noise typical of a casino setting
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Must successfully complete all required training courses and submit the corresponding certificates to the Food & Beverage Department prior to beginning departmental training.
- Include: Food Handler certification, BASSET certification
