Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) designs, develops, and manufactures advanced composite components to help our customers push the frontiers of innovation. Our core strength is producing highly tailored, complex composite components. With our unique blend of products—including 3D woven structures, traditional and non-traditional 2D composite structures, and discrete through-thickness reinforcement technologies—AEC delivers composite components and products that meet performance and cost specifications often beyond the reach of metallic or conventional laminated composites.
This role involves expediting, routing, and dispatching material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments. You will review the master production schedule to identify and address potential or actual shortages, generate progress reports on schedule status, and maintain records of completed orders. Additional responsibilities include expediting materials, reporting on completion dates, material changes or substitutions, shortages, and schedule modifications.
Responsibilities
- Expedite, route, and dispatch material and parts to meet production schedules.
- Review master production schedule to identify and alert authorities of potential shortages.
- Generate progress reports on schedule status and maintain records of completed orders.
- Take action to expedite materials, such as ordering repairs for damaged material or arranging in-house transportation.
- Report on completion dates, material changes or substitutions, shortages, and schedule modifications.
- Establish priority schedules for work-in-progress (WIP).
- Resolve and recover from negative impacts on schedules.
- Attend and contribute to production and program meetings (e.g., data, status updates).
- Operate a forklift.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- 1-2 years of expediter experience.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Knowledge of MRP software.
- Ability to read bills of materials.
