Expediter
About the role
Expediter is to assist in the movement and positioning of stalled or late Rx orders within production and provide real time information to customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepares work schedule to meet customer demand.
- Ship 40+ late/rush jobs per shift.
- Ensures quality meets CZV standards.
- Identifies problems, troubleshoots and implements corrective actions.
- Maintains (Jobs), uses variety of tools to track (Visual and DVI).
- Call stack/OE Return
- Sister Lab Report
- All late documents
- Participates in management meetings and works closely with all department managers.
- Works in / with all areas of Lab by moving jobs from one department to another.
- Works closely with customer service and other departments to respond to customers quickly.
- Handles all unidentified frame inquiries.
- Initiates lab evaluation forms for returns (Inspect returns).
- Provides follow-up status updates on processing orders (ex. Restarts, delays, etc.).
- Repplies to all email correspondence within 1 hour.
- Follows safety standards and reports any safety concerns to leadership.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports Pre-Surface operations and workflow.
- Participates in meetings to enhance departmental communication and efficiency.
- Works in different workstations or product lines as production needs require.
- Trains peers.
Requirements
- Demonstrate ownership of objectives and results.
- Full understanding of Lab OTD, basic lens styles, material, coating, etc.
- Working knowledge of pre-surface, surfacing, coating and finish departments.
- Excellent communication skills (Verbal / Written).
- Strong working knowledge of Quality Systems/Processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Ability to organize and effectively manage resources.
- Strong initiative and follow-up skills.
- Ability to partner and work closely with fellow employees.
- Customer service mindset.
- Flexible availability (Expeditor starts 1 hour before Lab Scheduled shifts).
- Reliable, honest, dependable and be able to follow directions either written or verbal.
- Must be able to regularly lift 10 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment.
- Have the ability to focus for long periods of time.
- Patience to fully see the task through is a must.
- Ability to communicate with other associates in a clear, concise manner.
- Professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic computer software (Microsoft Office).
Skills
- Excellent communication skills (Verbal / Written).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00. The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
Schedule
This position is eligible for a Performance Bonus.
