Expediter

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts onto weld tables and fixtures; stage weldments and fixtures as needed in production areas or "Client-down” areas.
• Review paperwork before moving items to the next operation as well as keeping an eye out for damaged parts or components.
• Basic problem-solving skills in a weld and machine environment.
• Have (or achieve) forklift certification and have the aptitude to safely use all material handling equipment including but not limited to; various forklifts, hand carts, cranes, rigging equipment, magnets, and other material handling tools/equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in strict accordance with company safety protocols.
• Perform additional duties as required to support overall team objectives and production schedules.

Qualifications

• Must become forklift and crane/rigging qualified or certified within two months.
• Ability to operate forklifts and lifting equipment in a safe and reliable manner.
• A commitment to promoting a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.
• Maintain a high level of professional conduct and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• 1+ year of experience with high school diploma or equivalent at minimum.
• Ability to successfully pass crane and rigging training within two months of hire.
• Crane and rigging (lifting) certification or qualification.
• Forklift experience and certification or qualification.
