Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and updating patient records and medical histories
- Performing X-ray procedures and managing digital images
- Conducting periodontal charting and preparing instruments for exams
- Assisting with preventative care such as polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealants
- Providing oral hygiene education and patient counseling
- Supporting infection control protocols and sterilization processes
- Assisting with orthodontic procedures, including record-taking and appliance handling
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Oregon EFDA certification within 90 days of employment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish/Cantonese/Vietnamese) preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, materials, and infection control
- Strong manual dexterity and computer proficiency in dental records and standard software
- EMR system is EPIC
- Pay rate is determined by experience (DOE)
- Extra pay is provided for bilingual skills
