Expanded Duties Dental Assistant

About the role

Help A Child Smile is Georgia's leading school-based mobile dental practice, addressing the significant need among underserved school-aged children who lack easy access to dental care. The program aims to improve oral hygiene, prevent tooth decay, alleviate pain, and address associated health issues.

Responsibilities

• Dental Assisting Services during mobile dental clinics
• Digital X-ray Imaging
• Charting Patient Records
• Equipment Set-up, Breakdown, and Sterilization
• Absence of evening and weekend work
• Travel daily to and from school sites
• Work a school day schedule (approximately 6-7 hours)

Requirements

• Active CPR/BLS certification card
• 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant (DA)
• 1+ years of Digital X-ray Imaging experience
• Valid driver license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally
• Works well with both children and adults
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organized, detail-oriented, and multitasking capable
• Able to carry up to 55 lbs and walk several flights of stairs occasionally
• X-Ray Certification
• Coronal Polishing Certification
• Sealant Certification
• Fluoride Certification

Qualifications

• EDDA Certification
