About the role

Dental Care at Cedar Crossing is seeking an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant to support the clinical treatment care of patients. This position plays a significant role in providing effective and trustworthy dental services, sustaining patient comfort, and managing clinical supplies.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain lab equipment
• Take and develop X-rays
• Provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures to patients
• Taking and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs
• Aiding the dentist in managing dental emergencies
• Improving clinical skills and acumen through continuing education and training opportunities offered by Heartland Dental

Requirements

• Positive and outgoing personality
• Exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent patient care skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Good manual dexterity
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn new programs
• Ability to travel at least once every other month for training, occasionally overnight
• Dental assisting school certificate (preferred)
• Previous work experience in a dental practice (preferred)

$2000 Sign On Bonus

Monday 7:15a-5:00p, Tuesday 7:15a-6:00p, Wednesday 8:15a-5:00p, Thursday 7:15a-5:00p and Friday 7:15a-4:00p
