About the Role
Under the direction of the After-School Program coordinator and Site Leader, the Expanded-Day Learning Classroom Lead will assist in the care, supervision, planning, and implementation of learning activities for children enrolled in the After-School Program at Virginia Peterson Elementary. Responsibilities align with school district policies and comply with State and Federal regulations.
Requirements
Education: High School Graduation or equivalent (required). Must meet one of the following:
- 48 semester college units (transcripts required)
- Pass the District Paraeducator Exam (offered every Thursday at 1 pm at the PRJUSD District office, 800 Niblick Rd, Paso Robles)
- Certificate of Proficiency for Instructional Aides (NCLB certificate)
- College Associate degree or higher
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the general needs and behavior of children
- Experience working in an educational setting (desired)
Pay
Classified Salary Schedule #3, Range 16: $19.09 – $25.59 per hour, dependent on experience.
Schedule
- 4.7 hours per day
- 10 months / 193 days per year
- Part-time employment
