About the Role

Under the direction of the After-School Program coordinator and Site Leader, the Expanded-Day Learning Classroom Lead will assist in the care, supervision, planning, and implementation of learning activities for children enrolled in the After-School Program at Virginia Peterson Elementary. Responsibilities align with school district policies and comply with State and Federal regulations.

Requirements

Education: High School Graduation or equivalent (required). Must meet one of the following:

• 48 semester college units (transcripts required)
• Pass the District Paraeducator Exam (offered every Thursday at 1 pm at the PRJUSD District office, 800 Niblick Rd, Paso Robles)
• Certificate of Proficiency for Instructional Aides (NCLB certificate)
• College Associate degree or higher

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the general needs and behavior of children
• Experience working in an educational setting (desired)

Pay

Classified Salary Schedule #3, Range 16: $19.09 – $25.59 per hour, dependent on experience.

Schedule

• 4.7 hours per day
• 10 months / 193 days per year
• Part-time employment
