About the role
The Exercise Technician is responsible for assisting the physical therapists in implementing therapeutic exercise, restorative therapy interventions, and wellness interventions for persons with neurologic disabilities. This position maintains a clean and therapeutic clinic environment and supports the day-to-day functions and processes of the Craig Hospital Physical Therapy Department. This person will work closely with outpatient therapists and the patients of Craig Hospital, providing excellent customer service and creating a culture of wellness.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay
Salary pay range: $18.65/hour – $26.86/hour
Requirements
- BLS for the Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association
- High school graduate (preferred)
- Experience with neurologic population (preferred)

Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of the Health & Wellness Coordinator, provide 1:1 strength training and fitness training sessions with persons who have neurologic disabilities
- Participate in the daily operations of the wellness facility, including open/closing procedures, answering phones, scheduling appointments, making copies, filing, and assisting with wellness center orientations
- Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties as assigned, including proactively addressing facility cleanliness issues
- Support physical therapists and exercise specialists in performing treatment interventions for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Obtain and assemble equipment as requested by therapists and exercise specialists
- Communicate daily with physical therapists and exercise specialists regarding client interactions in the wellness center
- Perform other related duties as assigned
