Exercise Specialist - South Sound Lacey

IRG Physical & Hand Therapy is looking for motivated Exercise Specialists who are passionate about helping others while gaining valuable hands-on clinical experience.
Position
The Position: Our Exercise Specialists are one of the most integral positions in our company and are not only responsible for assisting patients with exercise plans and modalities - but play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining relationships and driving the patient experience.
What You’ll Do
- Guide patients through therapist-prescribed exercise programs.
- Aid with therapeutic modalities and treatment set up.
- Provide encouragement and education to help patients achieve their goals.
- Prepare, maintain, and clean a safe clinical environment.
- Build positive, professional relationships with patients.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and other clinic systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, or other related field preferred.
- Customer service or patient-facing experience preferred.
- Knowledge and ability to demonstrate body mechanics, functional movement, and exercises.
- Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA laws and compliance regulations.
- Physical demand/work conditions: Standing, walking, bending, reaching, squatting, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday. Lifting up to 35 lbs. Demonstrate exercises including but not limited to jumping, balancing on one leg, rotation of the shoulder in multiple planes, and using exercise bands. Ability to properly transfer patients with use of good body mechanics while maintaining patient safety.

Pay and Benefits Information
- Base salary: $17.13-$20 per hour depending on experience and location of clinic.
