Exercise Physiologist Supervisor - Olentangy Cardiac Testing

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Prep patients for stress test by performing resting 12 lead ECG
  • Perform resting and exercise blood pressures during the stress test
  • Maintain ECG monitoring during the stress portion of the test, in conjunction with physician supervision
  • Apply and scan patient Holter monitors
  • Scan and index reports into patient charts
  • Participate in life saving measures when necessary
  • Assist in office responsibilities such as answering the phone, scheduling patient appointments, printing daily test schedules, and completing patient charts

Supervisory Duties

  • Supervise staff at all locations
  • Address concerns and questions from staff as a resource
  • Train new staff on testing protocols, equipment, etc.
  • Aid the manager in completing daily schedules, billing-related tasks, and appointment scheduling
  • Keep monthly department stats updated
  • Order supplies as needed
  • Monitor troubleshooting of day-to-day problems (examples: difficult patients, equipment issues, building issues, etc.)
  • Act as backup when the Manager is out of the office
  • Monitor backlog of Holter monitor completions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Active Ohio Driver’s License with the ability to travel throughout COPC’s service area
  • Preferred: Masters Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field
  • Preferred: ACLS and BLS certified
  • Strong clinical background; experience at another cardiac testing facility preferred
  • Computer literate, especially with Electronic Health System (EPIC)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to cope well with change
  • Self-disciplined, energetic, passionate, and innovative
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to work on a team and display a positive attitude
  • Ability to identify, document, resolve, and/or escalate issues
  • Ability to lead by example
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt quickly to a changing environment, and demonstrate independent and collaborative judgment
