Responsibilities
- Provide rehabilitation therapy for inpatients and outpatients with cardiac and/or pulmonary disease.
- Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following established operating unit, cardiac rehab therapy, and department standards.
- Participate as a member of the health care team under the supervision of the Rehab Program Manager.
- Deliver therapy integrating knowledge of the cardiac nursing process in collaboration with Cardiac Rehab RNs and Physical Therapists.
- Plan and coordinate therapy in collaboration with patient/family and other healthcare team members to maximize patient outcomes and resource use.
- Provide education that facilitates recovery, self-care, health maintenance, health promotion, and wellness.
- Demonstrate clinical competency through optimal implementation and evaluation of therapeutic processes.
- Practice patient advocacy and promote professional development and growth of others.
Requirements
- M.S. or B.S. degree from an accredited program of Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science, or M.S. or B.S. degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy with successful completion of the National Board Examination.
- Experience in clinical delivery of cardiac rehab services preferred.
- ACLS required.
- ACMS certification preferred.
Pay
USD $28.47 - USD $40.71 /Hr.
