Exercise Physiologist- Southdale

Job Overview Fairview Health Services is hiring a casual Exercise Physiologist to join our CV Imaging team at our Fairview Southdale Hospital located in Edina, MN. Perform non-invasive cardiology procedures; assess and monitor patient progress; intervene as appropriate to ensure procedures achieve desired outcomes; provide patient education; respond to medical emergencies; communicate with healthcare team; troubleshoot equipment ; and orient and train. Is cross scheduled to allow for a flexible work schedule between the hospital and imaging center. Schedule:This casual position provides coverage on an as-needed basis, with shift lengths varying from 4 to 12 hours. The department is open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., seven days per week. Candidates must be available to work weekends as needed. As An Exercise Physiologist, You Will Be Responsible For Direct patient care-Monitor, assess and provide appropriate exercise interventions for inpatient/outpatient, exercise pharmacologic and cardiopulmonary stress tests. Monitor physiological responses including: Heart rateBlood PressureElectrocardiogramRespiratory rateSigns and symptomsDetermine exercise/test termination and recovery time.Document appropriate subjective findingsProvide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
