Essential Duties
- Responsible for all duties involved in both exercise and pharmacologic cardiac testing
- Holter monitor set up and scanning
- Establish peripheral Intravenous (IV) access
- Perform EKG's as needed
- Administer intravenous medications for pharmacological stress testing
- Flexibility to fulfill on-call needs as required, may require weekend rotation
- Responsible for all duties in the cardiac rehabilitation environment
- Responsible for application of BLS/ACLS as needed
- Responsible for all duties in the wellness/fitness environment as a trainer in exercise wellness
- Responsible for all duties in the pulmonary rehabilitation environment
Job Requirements
- BLS (American Heart Association) ACLS (American Heart Association) within 3 months of hire
- ACSM Certification preferred
- Certified Fitness Trainer preferred
- Training and experience in all modalities of cardiac stress testing, EKG interpretation, cardiac rehabilitation, and ambulatory monitoring
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology
- Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills; Ability to work well independently and in a team environment; Demonstrates ability to use the tools associated with an electronic medical record or program specific software required to perform the essential duties of the job.
