Job Overview
As the Exercise Coordinator, you'll develop, implement, and measure the effectiveness of plans and procedures for clients, creating rich content to help you tell a realistic story. You'll listen to client challenges and identify threats, gaps, or risks that need to be explored and provide a safe space for recommendations that will make lasting, real-world impact.
Support Hours
Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established by the Government customer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead planner for a Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) Warfighter Exercise (WFX) approximately once a year.
- Attends all life cycle (ELC) events.
- Prepare meeting minutes for meetings and conferences in accordance with prescribed formats.
- Ensure all Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) requirements are submitted on time and that they meet or exceed standards.
- Assist Exercise Support Manning and Equipment Document (ESMED) and Simulation Control Plan (SCP) Leads with production of their products.
- Collaborate with Travel Coordinator to place hotels under contract, develop rental car rosters, apportion hotel rooms, and provides quality control over travel management documents.
- Deploy forward during training events and fills role as an exercise planner at forward sites.
- When not deployed forward during an exercise, serve as an Opposing Force Work Area Commander utilizing the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and supervising up to five part-time on call employees.
Requirements
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint software.
- Familiar with current Army and Joint doctrine.
- BS/BA degree with 5+ years of military experience, or high school education with 10 years military experience.
- Secret clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a former field grade officer, warrant officer, or sergeant major.
- Held a KD position at BN or higher level.
- Advanced degree.
- MEL4.
- Experience with Constructive Simulation Models (e.g., Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC), Warfighters Simulation (WARSIM)).
- Experience working with the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP).
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
