Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a profitable commercial lines book of business while pursuing new business opportunities.
- Evaluate risks and determine appropriate pricing, terms, and conditions in accordance with company guidelines and authority levels.
- Build and strengthen relationships with agents and brokers to drive profitable growth and exceptional service.
- Review new and renewal accounts by analyzing underwriting information, loss history, risk characteristics, and agency performance.
- Collaborate with leadership on product development, pricing strategies, and coverage enhancements.
- Support the development of underwriting talent by sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and communicating line updates and best practices.
- Travel within the assigned territory to cultivate agency relationships and support business development efforts.
- Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and underwriting best practices through ongoing professional development and participation in industry and company-sponsored educational programs.

Qualifications
- 7+ years of Commercial Lines underwriting and/or marketing experience
- A track record of developing and managing a profitable book of business
- Strong underwriting judgment and analytical skills
- The ability to build credible, productive relationships with agents, brokers, and business partners
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Strong quantitative and financial analysis skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
- Experience mentoring or supporting the development of underwriting professionals
