About the Role
As the Executive Team Leader HR, you will champion a guest-centric culture while leading a team of HR Experts and Team Leaders. Your role involves driving sales, supporting leadership, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing work environment. You’ll spend most of your time on the sales floor, consulting with peers and proactively addressing business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and create a service culture prioritizing guest experience; model, train, and coach expectations.
- Drive total store sales and profitability by understanding your team’s impact on financial performance.
- Plan, lead, and follow up on organizational and operational changes.
- Assess store trends and competition to position Target as the destination of choice.
- Champion a culture where teams love to work and guests love to shop; recognize and reward outstanding performance.
- Build teams committed to continuous learning through observations and reinforcement of guest-service behaviors.
- Support leadership in ensuring equitable experiences and promoting inclusivity and belonging.
- Engage and educate the store team on Target’s community initiatives and local needs.
- Develop leaders to be champions of a guest-centric culture.
- Foster an open-door culture where team members feel heard and issues are resolved quickly.
- Create schedules that balance guest needs and team member preferences, increasing predictability in hours.
- Guide store leaders in hiring and onboarding talent aligned with business and guest needs.
- Develop a team of HR Experts and Team Leaders to solve problems and remove roadblocks.
- Plan and manage operational programs related to culture, pay, rewards, and benefits to maximize engagement.
- Coach team leaders to elevate skills and expertise.
- Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; hold others accountable.
- Address store needs, including emergencies and regulatory visits.
- Perform all other duties as needed.
Requirements
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong business acumen and comfort with ambiguity.
- Ability to manage conflict, lead teams, and hold others accountable.
- Ability to relate well with and interact across all levels of the organization.
- Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision-making, and financial/quantitative analysis.
- Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
- Accurately handle cash register operations.
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, and holidays) and regular attendance.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $64,000.00 - $128,000.00. Pay is based on several factors, including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
