About the Role
The Executive Sales Director-Commercial leads a critical function within ACV, overseeing the management of our Commercial clients and prospects and fostering key relationships with strategic accounts. This role is integral to optimizing ACV's commercial efficiency, maintaining customer satisfaction, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships. The Executive Sales Director-Commercial is responsible for developing and executing strategies and teams that ensure the success of our commercial partners and the expansion of our strategic accounts portfolio within ACV physical or digital channels.
Responsibilities
- Educate commercial customers and prospects on all products and services that ACV offers.
- Develop an aggressive sales plan with a defined group of national consignors.
- Hit target levels of performance measured in new national accounts and unit growth established by the company.
- Identify, prioritize, and cultivate relationships with strategic accounts to expand the company's market presence.
- Understand the unique needs of each strategic account and develop customized solutions.
- Conduct client need analyses and facilitate or perform product demonstrations based on client requirements.
- Secure agreements with customers, negotiate agreements, and present/negotiate commercial terms.
- Perform routine client follow-up to ensure ongoing satisfaction and support.
- Evaluate market and industry trends to effectively position our product and stay ahead of competitors.
- Attend and participate in regular sales and other internal company meetings and external trade shows or conferences.
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Monitor account performance and satisfaction, making adjustments as necessary.
- Lead and mentor a team of commercial sales managers.
- Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions and drive operational improvements.
- Generate reports on fleet performance, account growth, and revenue projections.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
- 8-10 years’ strategic sales account management experience.
- 4-5 years’ progressive leadership experience.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Understanding of fleet operations, logistics, and the automotive/tech industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering results.
