About the role

Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values, emphasizing the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all associates. This role involves independent responsibility for all IMA retail Executive Risk Solutions (ERS) engagements, including new and renewal placements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead RFP participation, assessment of client needs and exposures, marketing, and placement.
  • Prepare proposals and adhere to ERS/IMA retail workflows.
  • Maintain carrier relationships and negotiate best-in-class coverage.
  • Conduct regular client presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Primary ownership and responsibility for assigned accounts, including complex or multi-line portfolios.
  • Mentor and provide technical training to other ERS associates, internal staff, and clients.
  • Advocate for clients on complex claims.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with IMA Agency Management systems and organizational workflows, including EPIC/Agency Management.
  • Understand financial statements and entity organizational charts, including their underwriting implications.
  • Exhibit technical expertise in Management Liability (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Miscellaneous E&O, Crime, and K&R).
  • Participate in P&C workflows, including pre-renewal meetings, business reviews, and client-focused meetings.
  • Minimal travel required.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Executive Risk within brokering, underwriting, claims, legal, or risk management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Expert client-facing skills, including the ability to build confidence, articulate complex concepts, and deliver challenging messages.
  • Property & Casualty License required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a relatable field viewed favorably.

Qualifications

  • Executive Risk/Management Liability designations preferred (e.g., MLIS, RPLU, or other Insurance/Risk Management designations).

Pay

Salary Range: $100,000 USD – $200,000 USD.

Final offer amounts will depend on factors such as geographic location, prior relevant experience, and the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
