About the role
We are seeking an Employee Benefits Account Executive to join our Public Entity team. Our Employee Benefits Account Executives are responsible for managing a book of business, policy quotes, and carrier liaison for assigned clients/groups. This role regularly interacts with new and existing clients while devising creative solutions to meet client needs regarding coverage and costs. The position exercises discretion and independent judgment on significant accounts, including negotiation of product pricing, client interviews, and analysis of client information to assist in product and pricing determinations.
Responsibilities
- Develop action plans to reach client goals and suggest potential upgrades to grow or diversify client portfolios.
- Maintain and service an assigned book of business.
- Prepare and market new and renewal submissions in conjunction with the sales and service team.
- Work with insurance carriers to secure quotes and verify required specifications.
- Review and process various documents including policies, endorsements, and invoices.
- Document all activities in the agency management system.
- Prepare clear and concise proposals to effectively communicate marketing results with clients.
- Complete and audit all internal documents, ensuring accuracy.
- Coordinate resources, negotiate contracts and agreements, and monitor account performance.
- Adhere to organization policies and procedures, sales and service standards, and established workflows.
- Demonstrate effective and efficient quality control through proper file documentation and maintenance to comply with organization errors and omission standards.
- Other duties may be assigned or required as needs arise.
Requirements
- Active Health & Life License required.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits coverages, with emphasis on Public Entity relationships.
- Experience with Applied Epic or similar agency management software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to discern priority and initiative.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems, interpret a variety of instructions, and deal with variables furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Able to apply principles of insurance to various situations.
- Employee Navigator experience a plus.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of employee benefits experience within an insurance-related industry with an emphasis on Public Entity.
Pay
The base compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of posting. Placement within the range will be based on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
