Your Role

As a Protector, you will:

  • Evaluate potential threats and vulnerabilities to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct reconnaissance of locations and plan secure travel routes.
  • Prepare emergency plans before the client arrives.
  • Provide a physical security presence and immediate defense for the client during travel and events.
  • Make rapid, decisive actions during emergencies, including medical incidents, security breaches, or hostile situations.
  • Arrange and provide secure transport, including defensive and evasive driving.
  • Cohere with law enforcement, local authorities, and venue staff to ensure a seamless and secure operation.
  • Perform surveillance detection and counter-surveillance to identify and deter threats.

Hiring Process

The hiring process includes:

  • A 12-day introductory Essential Protector Skills (EPS) Training Academy in San Antonio, TX.
  • Passing a physical readiness test (Pull-ups, Push-ups, Sit-ups, 800m run).
  • Being able to swim.
  • Being drug and nicotine free.
  • Completing a background check.
  • Obtaining appropriate state firearm and security licensing.

Pay & Schedule

First year earnings for this role will start at a minimum of $90,000 per year. Earnings potential is up to $110,000 commensurate with experience, overtime opportunities, and more. For more details, visit GDBA.com/careers.
